Español: Vista nocturna de la Estación Central de Berlín, Alemania. La estación comenzó a funcionar en mayo de 2006 y está situada en lo que era la histórica estación de tren de Lehrter, que se inauguró en 1871 y era el final de la línea que unía Berlín con Lehrte (localidad cerca de Hannover), y que sería la principal línea que unía la Alemania Occidental con la Oriental. Tras importantes daños durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial, se rehabilitó para funcionar de forma parcial hasta su cierre en 1951. En 1957 cuando los ferrocarriles del Berlín Oeste pasaron a ser controlados por la Alemania del Este, se demolió la estación de Lehrter, pero se conservó una parada para el tren de cercanías. En 1987 se remodeló de forma importante para conmemorar el 750 aniversario de Berlín. La última renovación se realizó en 2006.
English: Night view of Berlin Hauptbahnhof (English: Berlin Central Station), main railway station in Berlin, Germany. The station came into full operation in May 2006 and is located on the site of the historic Lehrter Bahnhof, which was opened in 1871 as the terminus of the railway linking Berlin with Lehrte (location near Hanover), which later became Germany's most important east-west main line. Following heavy damage during World War II, limited services to the main station were resumed, but then suspended in 1951. In 1957, with the railways to West Berlin under the control of East Germany, Lehrter Bahnhof was demolished, but Lehrter Stadtbahnhof continued as a stop on the S-Bahn. In 1987, it was extensively renovated to commemorate Berlin's 750th anniversary, and again in 2006 to its current appearance.
